Clan of Venom

An offshoot of the Arachnidar Clan of Death, the Clan of Venom seeks to become closer to the spiders that infected their ancestors with lycanthropy. The werespider ancestors of the Arachindar did not give their full lycanthropy to their descendants. Instead, the Arachindar closely resemble Humans, but with an extra pair of eyes and arms. The Clan of Venom are obsessed with finding a way to become werespiders again.
Pinnacle Ability (Level 30)
  • Poison Enchantments: Learning this upgrade gives Clan of Venom units with weapons the Poison Enchantments ability that poisons (deals damage over time) the next enemy hit.

Death Widow

Death widows, originally black widow spiders infused with necrotic energy causing them to greatly increase in size, are the bred spider war beasts of the clan.

Tier 1 cavalry unit. Has Poison Bite passive ability that makes hit enemies take damage over time. Has Entangling Web ability that stuns enemies and grounds flying units.
Elae Dervish

Elae, the veteran warrior group of the clan, are the core of their army. Wearing Mithril armor adorned with decorative webs, the Elae scuttle into battle against their clan’s enemies.

Tier 2 quad wield infantry unit.
Elae Marksman

Elae, the veteran warrior group of the clan, are the core of their army. Wearing Mithril armor adorned with decorative webs, the Elae scuttle into battle against their clan’s enemies.

Tier 2 firearm ranged unit.
Elae Spearman

Elae, the veteran warrior group of the clan, are the core of their army. Wearing Mithril armor adorned with decorative webs, the Elae scuttle into battle against their clan’s enemies.

Tier 2 two handed spear unit.
Venomancer

Using earth magic to create poisonous spells, the Clan of Venom’s mages share the other clan members’ obsessions, ensuring their magic has characteristics of spiders.

Tier 2 spellcaster unit. Has Earth Orb spell that makes next attack deal AOE damage. Can also have either Earth Blast spell that deals high damage to a single target, Poisoned Bolt spell that makes basic attacks poison enemies and deal damage over time, or Poison Cloud spell that places an aura on a friendly target to deal damage to nearby enemies.
Brood Kin

Brood kin are the result of trying and return to their werespider ancestors and are used as living siege weapons. They use the rarer Ogre sized Arachnidar until they master the experimental process. Now mutated through experimentation, these spider-like beasts have no intelligence. With the goal of the mutants retaining their original intelligence, they continue to try to perfect the process.

Tier 3 dual wield heavy infantry siege unit. Has dodge chance.
Broodkeeper

In charge of feeding and caretaking of the clan’s massive spider nest, the Broodkeepers join battle armed with powerful magic. They also carry death widow eggs about to hatch, swarming the enemy with newborn spiders as the keeper entangles the enemy in nets made from the spider’s silk.

Tier 3 spellcaster unit. Has Spawn Broodling ability that periodically spawns Broodling units. Has Web Net ability that stuns an enemy unit and grounds it if it is flying.
Burster

Bursters are mutant death widows with excessive amounts of necrotic energy in their veins that form large sacs of necrotic goo on their backs. When killed, the sacs burst, spraying their foes in deathly liquid.

Tier 3 cavalry unit. Has Poison Sacs passive ability that deals damage to enemies that hit this unit in melee. Has Explosive Death ability that deals damage to nearby enemies when this units is defeated.
Elae Karagath Rider

One of the most fearsome predators on Ylinthia, the karagath lives in underground regions. Possessing a powerful venom in its tail stinger that renders its prey’s body numb, the karagath uses its elastic mouth to swallow its prey whole.

The Elae train the karagaths as war mounts, the rider forgoing weaponry to instead steer the living weapon.

Tier 3 heavy cavalry unit. Has poison ability that stuns target hit.
Brood Queen

Little is known about the massive brood queens, the death widows who lay eggs. How they reached this size or why they are the only death widows who lay eggs is a mystery. When they enter battle, hatchlings crawl across the body of the queen, leaving to swarm the enemy when they arrive at the battlefield. 

Titan unit. Has Spawn Broodling Ability that periodically spawns Broodlings and Entangling Web ability that stuns an enemy and grounds flying units.
