war camps of the Thunderflame tribe.

Being smaller than most races, Goblins are weaker in both
strength and resilience. They make up for their weaknesses with numbers, as
Goblins reproduce quicker than most races even though they possess the same
lifespan as other mortals, such as Humans, Elves, and Dwarves.

Unlike most Riddocian armies, which prefer one type of

While the trolls may bear a resemblance to the other
greenskins, the wild trolls are animals, a distant relative of apes. These
adaptive creatures take on the characteristics of their environment and have a
natural regeneration ability that quickly closes wounds. The male trolls have
large tusks that grow from their lower lip. The one with the largest tusks leads
the whole pack in the wild.
The Thunderflame army uses the trolls as both living siege
engines as well as heavy infantry. In addition, the Thunderflame use the
troll’s hide as leather armor.
Unable to control the wild creatures without guidance, a
skilled Goblin rides the trolls into battle, guiding the feral creature to
where they are needed.

BOOK SPOILERS
As part of the Riddocian Alliance’s army reorganization
after the Three Shadow Kings War, the forces of Ylinthia prepared their armies
for a potential next Shadow War. New troops were added to counter the various
Shadows they had faced. Most armies ensured they had a mount, soldier, or construct
that could fly to handle the Faceless and Terrors of the Shadows.
The Thunderflame tribe took a different approach, training
some of their Goblin archers to take down flying enemies by shooting their
wings.

A breed of cave troll, the siege trolls are found in large
caverns rich with mana crystals. Absorbing the abundant mana as part of their adaptability,
the cave trolls grow and form mana crystals on their body, gaining resistance
to elemental attacks as part of their transformation into siege trolls.
